Katy Perry always manages to surprise us: she’s constantly pushing the envelope when it comes to fashion -- and she’s not afraid of rocking a crazy manicure. Now, the Teenage Dreamsinger is wearing yet another hair color: she dyed it pink!

The singer and voice of Smurfette was spotted with the bright-colored hue on Monday in Los Angeles. Something about it makes us think it’s either temporary or a mistake -- you can clearly see Perry’s blond roots among the pink strands.

Perry has been on a hair color kick over these past few weeks: she’s gone from black to red to blonde to pink. We like some of her hair colors more than others.

So, who inspires her style?

"There's a varied range of women who have inspired my style, both fictional and non-fictional," she said. "I have even been influenced by cartoon characters too, like Judy Jetson, Betty Boop and Wonder Woman. And, of course, real people such as Dita Von Teese, Daphne Guinness, Agyness Deyn and Chloe Sevigny."

We absolutely love everything about the whimsical outfit Perry wore to the New York City premiere of The Smurfs in late July. Her sequined dress, blue eyeshadow and Smurfette nails are adorable, but we really love her blond hair. It fits her -- probably because it’s actually her natural color.

PERRY’S QUESTIONABLE RED

Perry planned to go blond a little earlier than she did -- she had to make a bit of a pit-stop at a brassy red color.

"So I didn't get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long! 2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS," she tweeted. "If I don't wait 3wks, I'll end up w/no hair or a #pixie90scutw/abarretteinthefront It's okay, I'll get to my secret color(s) soon! #patience"

We’re most accustomed to seeing Perry with her black hair. We’re not a fan of when she wears bangs -- but we do love when she lets it flow freely, like at the London premiere of hubby Russell Brand’s film, Arthur.

Katy Perry and her husband Russell Brand wish nothing but the best toAmy Winehouse, on their own way, and hope she finds peace.

Both of them tweeted just after the news, Katy stated:

And as far as Russell, who, unlike Katy, actually got to meet Amy even before she was famous, back on the days when he also was a drogadict, so he understands this situation a lot different, he wrote something in her memory. Some of the highlights of the incredible piece he wrote titled For Amy are:

"When you love someone who suffers from the disease of addiction you await the phone call. There will be a phone call. The sincere hope is that the call will be from the addict themselves, telling you they’ve had enough, that they’re ready to stop, ready to try something new. Of course though, you fear the other call, the sad nocturnal chime from a friend or relative telling you it’s too late, she’s gone. Frustratingly it’s not a call you can ever make it must be received. It is impossible to intervene..."

"... Not all of us know someone with the incredible talent that Amy had but we all know drunks and junkies and they all need help and the help is out there. All they have to do is pick up the phone and make the call. Or not. Either way, there will be a phone call"

Katy has recently given an interview for ABC news where she just wishes Amygets to finally find peace.

I guess all that I do now is to quote another tweet from Katy where she cleverly remembered her fans that they are not alone and that they can always look for help.
